Policies

Terms and Conditions

1. Bookings and Payments
All workshop bookings are confirmed only after full payment is received. Payments can be made via Eventbrite or directly through The Crafting Room Ltd. Prices are subject to change without prior notice.


2. Workshop Attendance (Typically 2-3 hours)
Participants must join the workshop at the scheduled time. For online workshops, a reliable internet connection and access to Zoom (camera, mic & speakers required). Workshops are non-transferable and may not be recorded or shared without permission.


3. Materials and Kits
Materials for online workshops (where provided) will be posted to the participant’s address before the session. Please ensure your delivery details are correct. The Crafting Room Ltd is not responsible for delays or losses in postal services. As a small family business, dispatch times may vary during busier periods.


4. Cancellation and Refunds

  • Cancellations made more than 14 days before the workshop start date will receive a full refund.
  • Cancellations made within 14 days of the workshop may not be eligible for a refund but may be offered a credit for a future workshop at our discretion.
  • Refunds are not available for missed sessions or failure to attend.


5. Health and Safety
Participants are responsible for using materials and tools safely. The Crafting Room Ltd provides guidance but is not liable for any injuries sustained during workshops.


6. Intellectual Property
Workshop content, designs, and instructional materials are the intellectual property of The Crafting Room Ltd and are for personal use only. Unauthorized reproduction, distribution, or commercial use is prohibited.


7. Liability
The Crafting Room Ltd accepts no liability for any loss, damage, or injury arising from participation in workshops or use of purchased materials.


8. Changes to Terms
The Crafting Room Ltd reserves the right to update these terms and conditions at any time. Participants will be notified of significant changes.


9. Product Variations

Colours and items may vary depending on suppliers. No guarantees on colours, finishes, or exact items. All sizes are approximate and measured in the buyer’s favour


10. Leather Materials (where included)

100% genuine cowhide upholstery-grade chrome-tanned leather & suede. Leather is natural – may include marks, scars, blemishes, or creases. Shade & grain vary by hide. Colours may display differently on screens.

  • Any concerns or suspicions about a participant’s safety must be reported immediately to the designated Safeguarding Officer.
  • If the concern involves the Safeguarding Officer, report to the company director or an external safeguarding authority.
  • All reports will be treated confidentially and investigated promptly.


6. Safer Recruitment
Where applicable, all staff and volunteers will undergo appropriate background checks and safeguarding training to ensure they are suitable to work with vulnerable groups.


7. Code of Conduct
All staff and volunteers will:

  • Treat participants with respect and dignity.
  • Avoid any behaviour that could be interpreted as abusive or inappropriate.
  • Maintain appropriate boundaries in all interactions.


8. Online Safety
For online workshops and interactions, we will:

  • Use secure platforms and protect participant privacy.
  • Monitor sessions to ensure appropriate behaviour.
  • Provide guidance on safe use of materials and tools.

Information about participants will be handled sensitively and only shared on a need-to-know basis in line with safeguarding procedures.

Complaints Policy

1. Purpose
At The Crafting Room Ltd, we are committed to providing high-quality workshops, products, and customer service. If you have any concerns or complaints, this policy explains how you can raise them and how we will handle them promptly and fairly.
